Toyolac supply status update
The ongoing conflict in Iran and the broader Middle East has begun to severely disrupt global supply chains, particularly in the petrochemical and plastics sectors. Rising geopolitical tensions have increased risks to critical shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, a key corridor for the transportation of oil, petrochemical feedstocks, and plastic raw materials.
Toray has warned that the situation may lead to potential supply disruptions and logistics challenges affecting the availability of certain materials. As freight routes face delays, higher insurance costs, and possible rerouting, the flow of raw materials and finished plastic products across Asia and other regions could become increasingly unstable.
Industry participants are closely monitoring developments, as the Middle East remains a major supplier of petrochemical feedstocks used in plastic production.
